Day 1 Day 1 – Saigon Arrival – Welcome to Vietnam – Welcome Dinner (D)

Upon landing at Tan Son Nhat Airport, meet your tour leader and transfer to your hotel in the heart of Saigon. The afternoon is yours to rest after your international flight or wander the nearby streets, where colonial architecture, lively cafes, and the city’s pulsating energy instantly introduce you to Vietnam’s modern spirit. In the evening, gather for a welcome briefing and dinner, marking the official start of your Hidden Gems adventure and then a sumptuous Welcome Dinner with local specialities

Do You Know? Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) is often called "The City That Never Sleeps", and for good reason—its residents are world-renowned for their vibrant "work hard, play hard" philosophy. Since its days as the "Pearl of the Far East," Saigon has always been the trendsetter of Indochina, where the locals’ zest for life is reflected in a non-stop dining and social scene. Whether it’s a chic rooftop cocktail bar overlooking the skyline or a humble plastic stool on a bustling sidewalk at 2:00 AM, the Saigonese believe that "joy is better shared". For them, a day isn't truly complete without a lively gathering (đi chơi), making this city an electric metropolis where the energy only truly begins to surge when the sun goes down!

Day 2 Day 2 – Fullday Saigon City Highlights & Cu Chi Tunnels – Lunch at a vegefarm (B/L)

After breakfast, explore Saigon’s most iconic landmarks and learn how the city evolved from a French colonial outpost into Vietnam’s financial megacity. Visit the War Remnants Museum, the Reunification Palace, and then a journey to the Cu Chi Tunnels, an astonishing underground world used by Vietnamese fighters during the war. Walk through reconstructed passages, learn their ingenious survival strategies, and appreciate the fierce determination that shaped the nation.

Do You Know? The Cu Chi Tunnels are a staggering feat of manual labor, taking over 25 years to complete using nothing but simple hand tools and woven baskets to carry away the soil. This subterranean labyrinth eventually stretched over 250 kilometers (155 miles), reaching all the way from the outskirts of Saigon to the Cambodian border. At its peak during the 1960s, it functioned as a fully operational "underground city" that housed as many as 16,000 people at a time. The tunnels were much more than just hiding spots; they featured three distinct levels including living quarters, kitchens, hospitals, workshops, and even classrooms, all hidden beneath just a few meters of earth!

Day 3 Day 3 – Saigon to the Mekong Delta – Fly to Hue (B/L)

Leave Saigon for the Mekong Delta, where life unfolds along lush canals and coconut-shaded waterways. Cruise on a private boat past floating homes, fruit gardens, and local workshops producing rice paper, coconut candy, and honey. Savor a rustic lunch at a family home and listen to traditional folk music as you sip tea and enjoy tropical fruits fresh from the orchard. Return to Saigon and board an evening flight to Hue, Vietnam’s former imperial capital.

Do You Know? The people of the Mekong Delta are famous across Vietnam for their "Thật Thà"—a unique blend of pure honesty, simplicity, and a direct heart. Living in a land of natural abundance where "nature provides what you need", they developed a culture that values trust over complex formalities. It is not uncommon to find "open-door" hospitality here, where a local might invite you into their home for a meal as if you were a long-lost relative. They are known for saying exactly what they think and giving more than they take; for a Mekong local, their word is their bond, and a sincere smile is the only currency needed to build a lifelong friendship.

Day 4 Day 4 – Imperial Hue – The Soul of Vietnam (B/L)

Hue stands as the grand witness to the final imperial dynasty of Vietnam, where the echoes of the past are still beautifully preserved through its majestic architecture—from the sprawling Imperial City (The Citadel) to the elaborate Royal Tombs of the Nguyen Kings. Please share your personal interests with your guide, and they will curate the ideal route for you.

With your half-day schedule, you can comfortably visit two major imperial sites, such as the Imperial City and one of the Royal Tombs (like Khai Dinh or Tu Duc). Following this, your journey continues with a visit to some traditional craft workshops to see local artisans at work, before concluding at the iconic Thien Mu Pagoda. While here, you will find a moving piece of modern history: the original car used by the monk Thich Quang Duc, who drove it to Saigon in 1963 before his self-immolation to protest the oppression of the era—a powerful symbol of courage and peace set against the pagoda's stunning view of the Perfume River.

Do You Know? The women of Hue are the ultimate keepers of Vietnam's ancient etiquette, raised with a legendary level of discipline and "Công, Dung, Ngôn, Hạnh" (Virtue, Appearance, Speech, and Housewifery). Even today, many traditional families maintain a strict "curfew culture"; a Hue girl might be out enjoying the city’s romance, but she’ll often keep a careful eye on the clock to ensure she is home by 9:00 PM. This reserved and poised nature is what locals call "Dịu dàng"—a profound gentleness. While they may seem shy at first, this careful upbringing hides a sharp intellect and a fierce devotion to family, making the "Lady of Hue" a symbol of elegance and moral strength throughout the country.

Day 5 Day 5 – Hue to Hoi An via the Hai Van Pass (B)

After breakfast, journey south toward Hoi An along the legendary Hai Van Pass, often hailed as one of the most breathtaking coastal drives in Asia. The road winds between cloud-covered mountains and turquoise sea, offering endless photo opportunities. Upon arrival in Hoi An, the magic of this lantern-lit ancient town unfolds: wooden merchant houses, quiet alleyways, tailors crafting perfect garments in 24 hours, and riverside architecture untouched by time.

Do You Know? In the region surrounding Hoi An, you will hear a very distinct and powerful dialect known as the "Quang Nam accent". Famous for its "earthy" and robust tones, this dialect is so unique that even people from other parts of Vietnam sometimes find it a challenge to understand! Linguists believe the accent was shaped by the region’s history as a melting pot of traders and its rugged geography between the mountains and the sea. The locals are incredibly proud of their "heavy" accent, viewing it as a symbol of their grit and honesty. It is often joked that while Vietnamese is a musical language, the Quang Nam dialect is the "Rock & Roll" version—energetic, unmistakable, and full of character!

Day 6 Day 6 – Hoi An at Leisure (B)

A full day to enjoy Hoi An your way. Stroll through the Old Town, cycle to a nearby beach, indulge in a tailor-made outfit, or simply relax by the pool. For culture lovers, optional experiences—from countryside bike rides to cooking classes—provide delightful encounters with local life.

Day 7 Day 7 – Fly to Hanoi – Cyclo Ride Through The Old Quarter (B)

After breakfast, transfer to Da Nang Airport for your flight to Hanoi, Vietnam’s historic capital. Upon arrival, meet your guide and check in at your hotel in the heart of the city.

In the late afternoon, enjoy a classic cyclo ride through the Old Quarter. Sit back as your driver takes you past narrow merchant streets, colonial shop houses, hidden temples, and local markets — each corner revealing authentic Hanoi life. The ride concludes near Hoan Kiem Lake, a beloved gathering place for residents and a symbol of the city’s heritage.

Spend the evening at leisure. You may wish to try Hanoi’s famous egg coffee, explore boutique shops, or simply stroll the vibrant streets illuminated by lanterns and café lights.

Do You Know? In the bustling markets of Hanoi, bargaining is not just about the price—it is considered a sophisticated "social dance" and a way to build a quick connection with the seller. There is even a local belief called "Mở hàng" (the first sale of the day): shopkeepers believe that a smooth, quick transaction with the very first customer will bring good luck for the rest of the day. Because of this, if you are the first visitor of the morning, you might find the seller extra willing to give you a great deal just to "unlock" their luck. The secret to success? Always lead with a warm smile and a friendly "Chào bạn" (Hello)—in Hanoi, kindness is the best currency for a successful bargain!

Day 8 Day 8: Halfday Exploring Hanoi – historical relics, museums and lakes – Lunch as the locals (B/L)

This morning, exploring the city. Hanoi offers a wealth of fascinating sites to explore, ranging from cultural landmarks like the Temple of Literature, the Vietnamese Women’s Museum, the Old Quarter, and the Fine Arts Museum, to the Ethnology Museum and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum complex. For those interested in history and wartime legacy, you can visit the National Museum of History, the B-52 Victory Museum, the infamous Hoa Lo Prison (the "Hanoi Hilton"), or Huu Tiep Lake, where the wreckage of a B-52 bomber still rests.

Please let your guide know your specific interests, and they will tailor the perfect route for you. Within a half-day tour, you can typically visit three different locations comfortably. Your guide will handle all the logistics to ensure you make the most of your time in the capital.

For lunch, enjoy an authentic meal at a local restaurant where Hanoians dine daily — a delicious way to understand the city’s culinary

Day 9 Day 9 – Hanoi to Halong Bay – Overnight Cruise (B/L/D)

This morning, drive to Halong Bay, a UNESCO Natural Wonder. Board your overnight cruise and enjoy lunch as you drift past soaring limestone pinnacles rising from emerald waters. Spend the afternoon kayaking, swimming, or relaxing on deck with a drink in hand. As the sun dips behind the karsts, enjoy a chef-prepared dinner before retiring to your private cabin.

Do You Know? Long before Halong Bay became a world-famous tourism icon, the province of Quang Ninh was primarily known as the "Black Gold" capital of Indochina. When the French first arrived and conducted geological surveys, they were stunned to discover one of the largest anthracite coal fields in the world, estimating the reserves to be hundreds of billions of tons. For over a century, the region's identity was defined by deep mines and rugged miners rather than luxury cruises. It is a fascinating contrast: above the surface lies a breathtaking UNESCO seascape of emerald water, while deep beneath the same earth lies a massive, ancient treasure of coal that fueled the country's industry for generations!

Day 10 Day 10 – Halong Bay Sunrise – Departure (B/Brunch)
