Mr. Tim Pham

Founder, Managing Director – Mr. Tim Pham.

Bringing a background in English for Foreign Studies and over 19 years of experience in the travel industry, Tim Pham offers both passion and expertise to AVT Travel. His journey began as a tour guide and evolved through leadership roles with renowned global travel companies, including G Adventures and National Geographic.

Fueled by a love for meaningful travel and personal connections, Tim founded AVT Travel to offer customized, high-quality journeys across Vietnam and Southeast Asia. As a dedicated father and seasoned traveler, he understands what makes a trip truly special – and is committed to crafting unforgettable experiences for every kind of traveler

Our Journey

AVT Travel began with a passion for connection, culture, and discovery. In 2001, our founder, Mr. Thien Pham (Tim), started his career as an English teacher. His early passion for language and connection with people naturally evolved into the world of travel, leading him to become a tour guide in 2004.

By 2008, Tim expanded into tour operations, crafting private and group journeys across Vietnam, Indochina, and Thailand. Building on this expansion, in 2009, he began offering tailored travel experiences, especially for travelers from Canada and the United States.

In 2014, AVT Travel was officially established as a professional DMC and local tour operator based in Hanoi. Since then, we've grown through partnerships with global travel agencies and the launch of innovative travel experiences—including wellness retreats, adventure tours, and even a culinary project, Hungry Hanoi Restaurant.

Despite the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, our dedicated team continues to evolve. Today, we remain committed to designing personalized, meaningful holidays that celebrate the richness of Southeast Asia and leave lasting impressions on every traveler.
