Day 1Hanoi arrival - Xin chao Vietnam!

Today you arrive in Hanoi, Vietnam’s bustling 1000-year-old colonial capital.
Welcome by your local tour guide at the airport and briefing about the holiday journey on the bus to Hanoi city.
After checking in your room at Hotel, refresh yourself then head for a brief walking tour to Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake and admire colonial buildings. Try local fresh Beer – Bia Hoi to observe local organized chaos traffic.

Hanoi is famous for two places: The Old Quarter and French Quarter, for wandering around to observe the real local life and unique architecture full of secret places & wonderful stories dating back over 2.000 years since Thang Long Hanoi was established in 1010
With 36 named Hang Streets is a promising destination for any curious tourist, you will see the name Hang based on what they used to sell there the same name as before but now it has been changed, no sidewalks, and people travel around everywhere …just follow the local to cross the streets.

Day 2Hanoi - Hagiang (B-D)

After breakfast, pick you up at your hotel and set out towards Ha Giang via Tuyen Quang, passing countless tea plantations, farms, mountains, and ethnic minority villages along the way.
Lunch at a local restaurant in Tuyen Quang.
Arriving in Ha Giang in the late afternoon. Time permitting, you will explore the Ha Thanh and Thon Tha villages and meet the local people before you’re served dinner and stay overnight in a local Tay house.

Day 3Trekking in Nam Dam - Nam Dam village (B-L-D)

This morning, you will begin your trekking adventure day by setting out from the homestay and trekking for about 6 to 8 hours to the village of Lung Vai. Along this trek, you’ll get to admire the incredible beauty of the terraced rice paddies, majestic mountains, and serene palm-tree forests. You will run into people from many different ethnic groups on the trekking route, such as Man and Dao, who are greatly friendly to interact with travelers for a short while.
Picnic lunch is served amidst nature before continuing to the remote village of Khuoi My. En route, you might see many farmers working in the fields (seasonal), and if we have the time you might desire to join in for some farm works with the locals.
Finally, we move on to Ban Tha Village, where our driver will meet you and transfer to Nam Dam, where you can enjoy a home-cooked local meal and spend the night in a homestay operated by a Dzao family.
– A 13-15 km trek.

Day 4Nam Dam Village - Quan Ba - Dong Van (B)

After breakfast at the homestay, say goodbye to the family, we depart after getting our permit from the immigration office, and your journey to Dong Van will be filled with spectacular landscapes in the form of a series of long passes. Stop for lunch at the small and beautiful mountain village.
Visit Sung La valley and Lung Cam Village, home of classic houses with stone fences of the Hmong people. You can visit the most typical house named after Pao’s house.
Continue the journey to visit the Hmong king’s palace – in the past, this was the residence of the most powerful of the Hmong people and was considered their palace at that time, in a unique Chinese style.
Heading out on a few hours of trekking to the highest mountain in Dong Van where you can enjoy some truly breathtaking panoramic views. We’ll also visit Hmong, Lo Lo, and Giay ethnic villages in this incredible, untouched frontier region. Drive to Dong Van for a hotel overnight and dinner.

Day 5Dong Van - Meo Vac (B)

After breakfast, you start to explore Dong Van Old Quarter.
(On Sunday mornings, you can attend the local market of ethnic people in Dong Van town).
Lung Cu flag pole – here have a beautiful Lo Lo Chai village located at the foot of Long Son mountain and is the home of the Lo Lo minority people. The village still has unique houses and friendly people. Short walk to the village to truly connect with the locals.
Drive to Meo Van and stop en route for a nice trekking trip to Pu Lo fortress which was built in 1890 and evacuated in 1945. From here you can enjoy spectacular views of the entire region, before climbing 8 km to the top of Ma Pi Leng Pass, through a gigantic maze of limestone peaks, stone forests, and canyons before descending into the valley of Meo Vac. (Optional activity with extra fee: boat trip/ kayaking in Nho Quy river)
Once the trekking is done, drive to Meo Vac town for an overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 6Bao Lac - Ba Be National Park (B-L-D)

After your breakfast, visit the local market and neighboring areas before departing for Ba Be via  Bao Lac. The place is well known for the Black Lo Lo ethnic group. This region was highlighted by the French media, “The journey into unknown land”. This documentary was filmed in Khuoi Khon village of the Lo Lo people, 9km away from Bao Lac town, by the rugby player, Frederik Michalak . After lunch, on your own, we will take the mountain road from Bao Lac to Cao Bang. En route to Cao Bang, pass a magnificent small road snaking throughout the hills in the Tay village of Cho Ra then go down to Ba Be National Park.
On arrival, check-in at your traditional stilt homestay in Pac Ngoi village, where you’ll be welcomed by our friendly Tay host.
In the afternoon, we pay a visit to Hua Ma Cave by bike. Hua Ma Cave is a beautiful cave with its mysterious legend and impressive stalactites. All these stalactites were formed over millions of years which makes Hua Ma Cave not only a beautiful spot but also an interesting site for those who research geology.
Have dinner with your family and enjoy the night inside Ba Be National Park.

Day 7Trekking in Ba Be's jungles (B-L-D)

Enjoy the local breakfast, which may consist of noodles, pancakes, or an omelet.
Full-day tour in Ba Be, you will have the chance to explore its diverse and beautiful landscapes as you take nice trekking through the park. The guided tour starts off by taking you to Coc Toc Village, be told stories about local Tay fishermen’s community and livelihood chance, before crossing Pelu Stream and navigating some steep terrain. The trekking tour would be a bit more challenging once you reach a higher altitude but your effort is greatly rewarded by magnificent views of the mountains.
Later on, you will stop in a Hmong village, where a picnic lunch and mineral water will be served to you. After resting, come back with your trek through the vast mountain ranges and valleys to see the stilt houses of the Dzao people and visit one of their local schools. You might want to bring some little gifts such as sweets, pens, and notebooks to give to the kids, which always bring big joy to the little angels. Passing a second Hmong Village before returning to your homestay by the lake. Enjoy a delicious dinner at your homestay and a relaxing night.

Day 8Ba Be - Boat trip to Waterfalls – Hanoi (B)

Today we enjoy a relaxing boat cruising down the Nang River which is the main water source of Ba Be Lake. This exciting river trip will give us a taste of the tranquil countryside and an enjoyable exploration of Ba Be National Park. We pass Puong Grotto before stopping at some nearby hill tribe villages and getting off the beaten track to the Dau Dang Waterfalls.
After your exploration of the lake, you will have the chance to rest as we drive you back to Hanoi, taking in the beautiful scenery along the way. You will stop for lunch at a local restaurant on the way before arriving in Hanoi in the late afternoon.

Day 9Hanoi – Hai Phong – Lan Ha bay cruise (B-L-D)

Breakfast at the hotel before start for your drive to Hai Phong. The scenery of Halong Bay/ Lan Ha Bay where thousands of limestone islands jut out of the emerald sea, sculpted into bizarre shapes is truly an iconic image for Vietnam. An overnight relaxing boat trip is the best way to enjoy this must-see natural wonder of Vietnam. Lan Ha Bay is a less tourist route which is perfect for adventure lovers.

  • 12:00: Arrive at Beo Harbor, transfer by tender to Sunlight Cruise, and enjoy welcome drinks, receive cruise briefing, safety instructions then check into your cabin
  • 13:00: A special lunch in Vietnamese cuisine of fresh seafood and an assortment of appetizing favorites are served while sailing through these islands
  • 14:30: The cruise sails through Lan Ha Bay and completes its entry through the Cua Van Area. The area is surrounded by extraordinary karst landscapes. Explore the bay on your own kayaking through Dark & Bright caves
  • 16:30: Enjoy Swimming in a nearby area, you can join by jumping or diving from the top of the boat into the water
  • 18:00: Come back to cruise later to enjoy a cooking class with a fresh spring roll
  • 19:00: Dinner is served in the restaurant. Enjoy delicious local food prepared and served for you by our wonderful onboard catering staff.
    After dinner, you can do squid fishing or sing karaoke
  • 20:00-21:00: “Happy hour” – free fresh local beer drinks on Sundeck with the group. Overnight on board

Day 10Lan Ha Bay cruise – Hanoi – Departure (B)

  • 06:00: Waking up enjoying beautiful moments when a blazing sunrise breaks the clouds of the island on the bay (except winter time has no sunrise)
  • 07:00: Your breakfast will be ready in quite a bay
  • 08:00: Start riding bicycle 5 km to Viet Hai Village, Viet Hai is a small village in the midst of jungles, covered by the high mountain range of the Cat Ba National Park.
  • 09:30: Riding back to our boat have a shower then before checking out
  • 11:00: Lunch is served on the boat
  • 12:00: Disembark to Beo Harbor. Get on the bus back to Hanoi, and say goodbye to Amazing Cat Ba Island.

Booking & Payment

  • A deposit of 30% of the total invoice is required in order to confirm all our services.
  • Balance of payment is due earlier than 45 days prior to your departure.
  • Following full payment, final voucher of services and related documents will be forwarded by e-mail or fax to clients at a maximum of two weeks prior to your home departure.

Cancellations

Cancellations will be charged as follows:

  • More than 60 days before arrival: no cancellation charge
  • 14-60 days before arrival: 10% of the price
  • 5-13 days before arrival: 50% of the price
  • Less than 5 days before arrival: 100 % of the price

Cancellation of Extra Services

  • For additional hotel nights and other extra services booked in connection with tour programmes, cancellations will be charged as follows:
  • More than 30 days prior to the service will be refunded in full
  • 15 – 30 days in advance: 50% of the price;
  • Less than 15 days in advance: 100% of the price. (Unless we can negotiate otherwise with the hotel)
