This village is a perfect choice for those who are looking for a peaceful countryside atmosphere. Coming to Duong Lam, you will find most of the features of a typical northern village: banyan trees, water wells, communal yards, pagodas & temples, winding village brick roads and small alleys, laterite walls, old wooden houses. Despite advanced modernization & urbanization, the village itself still preserves traditional values with full of nostalgia and tranquility.
Duong Lam Village is one of the few typical villages which is still kept almost intact. It is well famous for its architecture of ancient structures, its attractive narrow alleyways of Clay wall Houses, and temples dedicated to the two kings born there.
At 8:00, our car and tour guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Duong Lam Ancient Village.
Participate in a bicycle trip through the narrow, historic lanes to see the Mong Phu Temple, at the same time, ride through the area to learn about the everyday lives and agricultural practices of Vietnamese farmers.
Make a pit stop to visit two old houses and chat with the locals who currently live here.
Have lunch at a local house in the neighborhood and order some traditional dishes.
Pay your respects at the temples dedicated to Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung, two of Vietnam’s most revered historical figures. The Mia Pagoda is your following location of interest.
