How to get there:

By Bus:

Recently Newly built Hanoi-Lao Cai Highway means that bus transfers are now about six hours from Hanoi (shorter than the original nine-hour journey). This bus journey arrives at Sapa Town, where you will find most hotels.

By Train: Coming from Hanoi, the train takes about 9 hours to arrive at Lao Cai Station. From Lao Cai Station, shuttle buses will be waiting to take you the rest of the distance to Sapa –a trip that takes about an hour. The main appeal of a train journey to Sapa is an overnight train service, a popular means of transfer from central Hanoi..

Sapa Weather:

Sapa is changeable weather , one day it can have 4 seasons , morning like spring , noon like summer , afternoon like Autumn and evening like winter but you can come all year round you may be lucky !

The best times to travel to Sapa are March – May and September – November. You can have unduplicated experiences and different photos to show off your friends when visiting this town in different seasons:

  • March – May:It is warm and dry in this town this time – perfect for trekkers and hikers. May is the ‘water pouring season’ in this area and the terraced rice fields look more majestic with the reflection of the sun and white clouds on the curving fields.
  • June – August: It is not a good time to travel here since it is the rainy season here, so the roads become muddy and slippery but adventures !
  • September – mid-December: It is cool and dry in this town in autumn. September is the harvesting time in Sapa and you can admire the magical golden rice terraces here.
  • Mid-December to February:This is the chilly winter, be prepared that the temperature may drop to 0 degree Celsius.

Let’s come to have great adventures in Sapa with AVT Travel !
