DETAILED PROGRAM:

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival: Xin Chao Vietnam!

Hanoi- Vietnam’s bustling colonial capital. Your driver will meet you outside the baggage claim of Noi Bai Airport and take you to your hotel in the city center.

In the afternoon, enjoy an orientation walk, visiting some of Hanoi’s main attractions: the Opera House, Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake, and Ngoc Son Temple.

In the evening, savor a welcome dinner of authentic Vietnamese food at one of Hanoi’s finest restaurants.

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour – Night train to Laocai.

Today you will explore Vietnam’s charming capital. With its wide tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes, and ancient oriental pagodas, Hanoi is an eclectic mix that offers something for everyone. Your city tour will take you to Hanoi’s key sites: the Ho Chi Minh Complex (Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and stilt house), the nearby One Pillar Pagoda; the Presidential Palace; the Temple of Literature; the Quan Thanh Temple, the sedate Tran Quoc Pagoda & West Lake; and one of the city’s museums (a choice between the History Museum and the Ethnology Museum).

Free time in the afternoon then in the evening heading to the train station to catch your night train to Laocai-real local experiences and fun on Train.

Tonight’s accommodation is an overnight sleeper train. Beds are dormitory-style , with bunks on two layers along the side of the train carriage. There is a sliding door in each cabin for privacy. Your luggage will be accessible, stored under the Bunks during the journey. The train has air-conditioning and clean bedding is provided for each bunk. There are both Western-style and Asian-style toilets at the end of each carriage. As the train is running all night, take earplugs, read books to asleep  … Food like snacks and drinks on the train for sales but you can always bring your own food from the shops and restaurants at the train station.

Day 3: Laocai – Sapa.

The train arrives at the Laocai railways station in the early morning.

We take you on the 40km drive to Sapa – Northwest Vietnam’s premier travel destination with fantastic scenery of mountain and terraces . Enjoy breakfast at the hotel then catch a few hours of rest before beginning your adventure in this beautiful mountain landscape and home to many minority hill tribe peoples.

In the late morning, your guide will take you on a two-hour trek through the terraced rice fields to visit the villages Cat Cat and Sin Chai, where you will learn about local traditions and daily life. Rest of the day, you are free at leisure or exploring the town on your own.

Day 4: Sapa Trekking  – Visit hill tribe villages-Homestay 

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, before setting out on a full day’s trek to explore Sapa’s cultural diversity and haunting natural beauty.

Please pack what you need just for one night, take a guided hike through yawning valleys decorated with incredible beautiful terraced rice fields and pass through remote hill tribe villages.

 

You have three trekking options to choose from Soft trek (~ 3 km), medium trek (~ 6km), and long trek (~ 12km). Trekking is an excellent way to explore daily life and familiarize yourself with the cultures of the Hmong, Dzao, and Dzay people who populate the region.

Have a picnic lunch at a hill tribe village then keep hiking to our homestay family!

Special Information for Homestay: We will stay at H’mong Ethnic People Family’s house 

It’s basic and simple with great local real-life experience for tonight’s homestay is shared accommodation, our whole group shares together in a single big room in House on Stilts. With provided separate beds with clean linen, blankets, and mosquito nets, each sleeps in one.

The homestay host also provides towers, hot water for showering, Sandals.

Day 5:Homestay-Sapa- Back to Hanoi

After breakfast, say goodbye to the host family and walk to a nearby village where we board a bus to take us back to Sapa, relax and enjoy more Sapa, and then onward to Hanoi by bus for the night, a great way to see the beautiful and peaceful countryside on the way!

Check in your hotel and enjoy a free evening in Hanoi’s hustle and bustle -Back to city life

Day 6: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Overnight on cruise.

After breakfast, we drive 3  hours to the Halong Bay  UNESCO World Heritage Site, stop on the way to take pictures of the Red River Delta and visit local workshops.

Spend 24 hours on a traditional Junk Cruise in the amazing bay: a natural wonderland composed of jutting limestone islands and sparkling turquoise waters.

Arrive at the dock around noon and board your junk. Savor a gourmet lunch of fresh seafood onboard as we sail out into the mystical bay. In the afternoon, cruise around some of Halong’s many islands, including Dinh Huong and Ga Choi. Along the way visit one of the bay’s 3 largest caves (Thien Cung, Dau Go or Sung Sot). Relax on Boat. Pass the night on your junk, lulled to sleep by the gentle rocking of calm waters. If you wish to become Vietnam Idol for Karaoke Singing on Board, let’s try it or do Squid Fishing or just relax on Deck of the Board.

Day 7: Halong – Hanoi – Fly  Hue Ancient Capital 1802-1945

Awake early and participate to relax and enjoy the sunrise over the bay’s towering islands. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee or tea, before setting out to explore nearby Titop islands for great hiking up to the top of the mountain to enjoy a great Panorama view of the Bay, to cool down, swimming on a beautiful beach.

Return to the junk for breakfast then take advantage of the sundeck and admire the amazing rock formations Bay as we navigate back to Halong City. Have brunch on board the boat before returning to Halong pier. Your driver will meet you at the dock and take you to Noi Bai Airport of Hanoi for your in-country flight to Hue. Upon arrival, your guide and driver will meet you and take you to your hotel.

Day 8: Hue City Tour with Top Gear -real-life local experiences 
Spend an entire day touring Vietnam’s former ancient capital with Top Gear tour with a motorbike tour just relaxing sitting on the backside of a Motorbike driver to enjoy peaceful Hue countryside with a boat trip on Perfume river cruise  & visit the local markets, conical hat and Incense Making villages, Tiger Arena, Romantic View hill down to Perfume river, visiting one of king tomb…etc…

Having vegetarian lunch served by a monk at a local pagoda,  lots of activities with a lot of fun. After lunch, we visit the Imperial Citadel, home to the Imperial City and Forbidden Purple City – once the Emperor’s private residence. The Imperial City was created in the 19th century and modeled on the Forbidden City in Beijing. The Imperial Enclosure houses many palaces and temples within its walls. Day 9: Hue – Danang – Hoian Ancient Town -World Culture Heritage.

After breakfast we drive to Hoian, stop over Lang Co beach, Pass over the 500m-high Hai Van pass with stunning scenery if the weather permits, and stop en route in Danang for a visit to handicraft village at the foot of Marble Mountain.

Arrive in the incredibly peaceful riverside town once a trading port dating back to the 17th century, Hoian, in the late afternoon, check in at the hotel, and then enjoy the rest of the evening free at your leisure.

Day 10: Hoian free day at leisure.

It’s your holiday, indulge yourself .to check out the beautiful  An Bang Beach, Massage, Shopping …or wandering along peaceful alleys of Ancient town

If you wish to explore the old architecture of My Son Holy Land, do the optional tours, which your leader will arrange for you.

 

You travel 40km outside of Hoian to the UNESCO World Heritage Site: My Son. Surrounded by the Cat’s Tooth Mountains, My Son Sanctuary is home to the ancient Cham ruins and is often referred to as Vietnam’s Angkor Wat. They include temples and towers that connect to each other wi complicated red brick designs. The main component of the Cham architectural design is the tower, built to reflect the divinity of the king. On the way back, stop for a short visit to the Sa Huynh Champa Museum in Tra Kieu. Return to Hoian’s ancient town then enjoy a free afternoon for shopping, exploring, or beachside relaxation.

Day 11 Hoian – Easy Rider Biking tour

After Breakfast, dress up to be ready for the Easy Rider tour, we cycle from Hotel to Countryside in Hoian with local men, visiting Vegetable Villages, farming as  Locals, talking with people, continuing biking to see Buffalo and  Ridding on Water Buffalo,  visiting in Coconut Farm with  Round Bamboo Basket boat, lots of fun. After that, we keep cycling to take River Cruise back to Ancient town at noon.

 

 

 

Free afternoon, if you want to become a master chef, do an optional cooking class :

Day 12: Hoian – Danang – Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels
Have breakfast at the hotel then drive to the airport to take your early flight to Vietnam’s biggest commercial hub: Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). Upon arrival, you travel outside of Saigon to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels. The Cu Chi Tunnels are an underground labyrinth of passageways, used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War as protection against American air raids. Those inclined are invited to crawl through selections of the tunnels to better understand what life was like for the Vietnamese soldiers during wartime.

Enjoy the rest of  Ho Chi Minh City’s bustling streets en route to the hotel. Have lunch at a downtown restaurant then set out on a guided city tour. In the afternoon you will visit such sites as the Reunification Palace, the War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, the City Post Office, and Ben Thanh Market. the day at your leisure.

Enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel before driving to the riverside town passing a green rice field, boarding a private boat cruise on the Mekong River, visiting a tropical fruit garden with Traditional Music, a coconut candy factory Bee farm, rowing boat,…  lunch on one of the islands with great local food.

PM: Take Motor Cart – Great Fun Fun. Your driver will meet you at Vinh Long pier and take you to the center of the Mekong Delta for the night of another  Homestay. Free evening

Day 14: Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Market – Saigon.
Wake early and leave the hotel to visit the famous Cai Rang floating market by motorized boat. Continue the boat ride to visit the Mekong Delta’s famous fruit orchards and sample the fresh, exotic fruit. Then venture deeper into the countryside, passing traditional houses made of wood and palm leaves as you observe the activities of the local people. Visit the local family where you see how to make noodles, Rice paper… Return to Can Tho then drive back to Saigon. Enjoy discovering more Saigon.
